PMMA Posterior Chamber Intraocular Lens
The Universe IOL is an optical implant made of improved PMMA medical to correct the diopter of the eye without a natural lens.
Posterior Chamber Intraocular Lenses (IOL) also known as Sulcus Supported Intraocular lenses (IOL) consist of securing the IOL in the ciliary sulcus and is a replacement for the natural crystalline lens. This type of IOL is most often implanted after a cataract surgery after the removal of the crystalline lens. Accommodating IOLs fall into this category and allow a patient to have optimal vision near, far and in between. This type of IOL is attached to the ciliary muscle and these muscles move the synthetic lens just as if it was the natural crystalline lens allowing for multifocal vision. Monofocal posterior chamber IOLs are also an option. Both monofocal and accommodating IOLs can be made of different materials, from inflexible PMMA to acrylics and silicones.

Design features:
1- The IOL produced by our company is made of PMMA, allowing the good flexibility of the loops, which can be bent to the optical part of the IOL, making the IOL implanted easily inside the capsular bag.
2- The 10°angle of the haptic allows the lens to have a complete contact with the posterior side of the lens capsule.
3- The thin edge of the IOL reduces the edge glare in a large degree.
4- The haptic are designed to maintain stability of lens implant in the eye, which keeps the IOL centered in the optical field.
5- The IOL produced by our company can filter the ultraviolet rays effectively, and the rate of the visible light is greater than 90%.
